Five Steps to Recovery
The Tzadik Reb Zusha of Anipoli said that in order to simplify the process of Teshuva he breaks it down to five components. The word Teshuva in Hebrew has five letters, and each one represents another step.
T: Tamim - "Be sincere with the Eternal your G-d." - Honesty
Sh: Shiviti - "I have set G-d before me always." - Surrender
U: V'ahavta - "Love your fellow as yourself." - Service
V: B'chol - "In all your ways, know Him." - In all my affairs
H: Hatznei'a - "Walk discreetly with your G-d." - Humility
Here is an in-depth analysis of Reb Zusha's plan from Rabbi Manis Friedman. I downloaded it from the web some years ago and I can't remember where. I hope this counts for giving credit...

That is so great i cannot wait to read the whole version. I truly had a connection this year in shul. the holiday was very deep and meaningful for me and i am actually looking forward to yom kippur - though not the fasting part...but i am looking forward to moving into the next phase of spiritual growth that i believe will come from my work in tshuva.
This is what I need, crave and delight in that I had no clue existed before my association with Yisrael and Jewish Recovery. This added so much to my life, just reading it, now I'll print it and study it to capture even deeper meaning. Thanks, shy1
